IgorM

I'm a totally networking noob and I'd like to know of an easy way to connect to my local network devices remotely via Internet. Like my own google drive.

The best option is to do port forwarding ... Go to your  router setting setup port forwarding ..

easiest way: Teamviewer into a PC on your local network

or: logmeinhamachi

or: what other people suggest, which is the proper way to do it, but slightly harder

your google drive isn't hosted on your personal network, it is stored in the cloud .... so what service/device do you need to access in your home network?

of couse it isn't. What I'm saying is that I want to be able to access the files of the devices connected to my local network via internet, like I do on my google drive, I access the files that I want no matter witch network I'm connected to.
