Help! My dad needs a laptop!

My dad's old 2008ish lenovo laptop failed and has been fixed too many times by yours truly.  He bought an acer spin 5 and really liked it for $500 but it was defective and they are no longer on sale at costco, but we returned it.  He is willing to spend up to $1200 and does not need or want an internal graphics card in it.  He would like a macbook pro, but I looked and his only good options under $1200 are to buy a $500 refurbished model and put an ssd and ram in it, but that may not be enough processing power for his needs.  Mostly would be used for emails, word documents, watching videos and managing his business but he wants something like a mac, but definitely not a macbook or macbook air

Requirements:

  • Must have 256gb or more of storage
  • SSD or m.2 storage
  • 8gb of ddr3 ram or better
  • i5 7200U or better
  • Very sound structure
  • Very reliable company and warranty
  • Windows 10 home
  • Preferably 1080p or better
  • Under $1200 (the lower the better)
  • 1 USB 3.0 port, 1 HDMI port, sd card reader would be nice too

Thanks! If I forgot something I will edit it back in

iGPU is internal graphics card. Your dad's laptop won't work without a internal graphics card. :D

Does your dad take the laptop out a lot?

Nothing you did.  @NumLock21 seems to think your father needs a dedicated GPU when you specifically said he didn’t need one.

An igpu is an internal graphics processing unit where a graphics card is an individual unit

There's nothing like a macbook, sorry. Everything else lacks either in quality or service. Price/ better hardware can make up for it though

iGPU = integrated GPU. As in integrated into the CPU.

Basically an iGPU is quite a bit different than a normal GPU.

Also called internal gpu. It would be his dad does not want a dedicated graphics card not Internal graphic card.

Do you have links or anything that comes close to a macbook pro or some hp laptop of quality? If not I'm just going to ask him if we can upgrade a refurbished 2012 macbook pro or wants to spend $1500 on a new one.
