What other services should I Install/use?

So, I finally got my Dell PE 210 ii. It has a Xeon E3-1240 and 8GB ram and 2 500GB Sata drives. It's running Windows 2012 R2 it is also my domain controller. Also, running my exchange server as a VM machine. 

 

I want to know, what other OS should I install? :D

Ubuntu is nice. Free, too. Plenty of vids and tutorials around to help you install, or I can help you if you're interested.

I've already got a PC running Ubuntu Server. :P It's running OpenVPN and some other services. ;)

Coolio. Perhaps Mint or something on your new PC then. You don't really need two OSes though.

Run a Ubuntu server as an NTP server.

Samba share, ISE server, multiple AD controllers for redundancy....

All very normal things :D

I've got a file server anyway. 

I don't think I need an NTP server? o.O

It's just for fun, I made two RPIs act as NTP servers, lol

 

Plex server, Netflow server, Security Camera server, Windows XP machine, Voice server (Mumble, etc.), Minecraft or other game servers, etc.

Plex server, Netflow server, Security Camera server, Windows XP machine, Voice server (Mumble, etc.), Minecraft or other game servers, etc.

I could install a Plex sever. I don't need a Netflow server.. I have no cameras. :P

I have no interest for XP. I've got Teamspeak. 

I've had previous game servers. I might only give access to my friends.

It's normal to have Netflow on a home network right? LOL

I just have XP for old school games (Sim Tower and the likes)

Freenas any good to you? if so, you could run that and use the plex plugin... very easy to set up.
