Aux Splitter

T1TANIS

Hello lovely people!  I have a question that I hope has a simple answer...

I'm looking at splitters like this one here and I know most people would use them to connect 2 sets of headphones to a phone/laptop.

https://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Speaker-Headphone-Audio-Splitter/dp/B000067RC4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1503169717&sr=8-3&keywords=aux+splitter

What I'm wondering is if I can use it in the opposite fashion and connect the male end of the splitter to a set of classroom speakers and then connect a desktop PC and an old VCR player (yes you read that right...VCR) so that they could both play audio (not at the same time) without having the teacher need to switch cables every time.  I've read through reviews and questions on the amazon page and have gotten some conflicting information so I'm hoping someone here will be able to clear it up for me.

Thanks in advance, the LTT community is awesome!

Here's an idea.

Composite Switch Splitter

https://www.amazon.com/niceeshop-Composite-Selector-Switch-Splitter/dp/B004T8KZCM/ref=sr_1_20?s=audio-video-accessories&ie=UTF8&qid=1503171091&sr=1-20&keywords=audio+splitter

with RCA to Auxiliary Male for PC

https://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Audio-Video-Cable-Extension/dp/B00004Z5CP/ref=pd_sim_107_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00004Z5CP&pd_rd_r=DED3M36ZMQJ3F2G9EC37&pd_rd_w=L9tz1&pd_rd_wg=ipJ9U&psc=1&refRID=DED3M36ZMQJ3F2G9EC37

with RCA to Auxiliary Female for Speakers

https://www.walmart.com/ip/3-5mm-Female-Stereo-to-2-RCA-Male-AV-Audio-Aux-Cable-Cord-Adapter/46564456

The VCR would plug into an input. And the PC will be using the RCA to Auxiliary Male into an input. The Speakers will be the output using the RCA to Auxiliary Female (assuming the speakers have Auxiliary inputs (the green thing).
