Vega packs

stefanDB

I heard that AMD is going to sell RX vega in packs. I am going to build a PC for a friend of mine, and we also need a fitting monitor. Does anyone know what the packs will consist of, how expensive they will be (aproximately) and if they will ship to the netherlands?

The US ones are below. Apparently the rest of the world gets slightly different games and nobody else from what I've heard gets the monitor discount. Depending on where you get them from, they will ship to the Netherlands.

Radeon Red Pack: $499 USD

Radeon RX Vega 56 Air Cooled edition + $200 discount on Samsung XX FreeSync monitor + Wolfenstein® II: The New Colossus™ and Prey® ($120 value) + $100 discount on Ryzen 7 1800x processor + x370 motherboard combo*

Radeon Black Pack: $599 USD

Radeon RX Vega 64 Air Cooled edition (Black shroud or Limited Edition Silver shroud) + $200 discount on Samsung XX FreeSync monitor + Wolfenstein® II: The New Colossus™ and Prey® ($120 value) + $100 discount on Ryzen 7 1800x processor + x370 motherboard combo*

Radeon Aqua Pack: $699

Radeon RX Vega 64 (Liquid Cooled edition) + $200 discount on Samsung XX FreeSync monitor + Wolfenstein® II: The New Colossus™ and Prey® ($120 value) + $100 discount on Ryzen 7 1800x processor + x370 motherboard combo*

Huh, interesting. From the wording I assume that if you have the receipt for the part you don't have to buy a pack.

If you’re already a proud AMD Ryzen or Radeon FreeSync monitor owner, you can buy a Radeon RX Vega

56 or Radeon RX Vega 64 air cooled edition  at standalone prices of $399 and $499 SEP USD respectively.

Unless your friend plans on buying the $1,000ish USD ultrawide Samsung monitor, the packs aren't really a great deal. You have to buy a top tier motherboard and Ryzen 7 chip to get the $100 hardware discount, and the games go on sale for much less during a Steam sale. Personally I'd just wait for the AIB cards to come out.

Ah. it would have been more interesting if they gated the standalone cards initially behind receipts for Ryzen/Freesync products. Ah well.

So Intel users are left out? Doesn't sound like a solid business plan.

The sans-bundle cards aren't coming out until September anyway.
