Monitor doesn't display with HDMI cable

Sirpz

So I've been using a DVI to HDMI, HDMI in the gpu end, dvi in monitor, and i found an HDMI cable that I know works so I wanted to use it, I plugged it in, the monitor detected it, but now it's just that illuminated black screen, the monitor is on and everything, but it just doesn't want to display the image. The monitor I have is a 23in acer 1080p 60hz monitor

It's currently selected to hdmi, so yes. It's recognised it and I haven't gotten a no signal

Can you clarify what model graphics card this is and how many other monitors you have connected to it and how they are connected?  I'm wondering if this is a shortage of TMDS clockgens.
