Whcih one would you choose and why?

The AIO no contest.

is't not only about temps though, it's about  quiet/performance.

Use the fans from your 212 and put it on the new cooler. A predone liquid cooling system will help keep the temperature done better the a normal air cooler would though they're fairly similar.

Not a very pressure optimized fan is it?

I'm still curious about the sound level of that thing.

unless its got a bad pump the H80i is usually quiet although for the best noise levels get some other fans the stock ones hold it back noise wise over other fans

Stick with your 212 and then when you can afford a H100i/X60 get that

I would never spend that much on a cooler, that's why I'm asking if I should take the H80i CUZ FREE AND STUFF. ^^

Do replace the stock fan... It's not that quiet.

Depends on your tolerance for noise though.

I use a 5400 RPM HDD because 7200 is too loud, so yeah. ^^

H80i that's a no brainer. Swap the fans if it's too loud for you. Or sell it and get a quiter fan for your Hyper 212 if you don't need better cooler, and also keep the change.

since it's free, go for it. But if you have to pay for it, it's not worth bang for the buck wise
