Can't install Windows 10

My media center pc has been having a shit ton of software issues, it crashing because something wrong after I removed the gpu that died, using Intel integrated graphics on the cpu, me removing the Nvidia drivers and installing Intel ones. So I did a clean install of Windows 8.1 but it was buggy as fuck, even after everything was updated completely. It having so many issues.

 

So I decided I'll just install windows 10 on it...... except for some reason that makes zero sense I can't install windows 10 at all. I downloaded the Media creation tool from MS, created a bootable USB with Windows 10 on it. I put it in my media center pc and.... it pops up with the windows 8 install screen. I exited and tried installing windows 10 on a usb to try again, thinking maybe I did something wrong, again it goes to 8 install screen. I was thinking maybe some stupid ass issue on MS's end so I torrented a clean windows 10 iso (it isn't cracked, simply just a W10 iso). Used Rufus to put it on an iso... and again it comes up with windows 8 install screen. What on gods earth is the issue?

 

Should I give up and just install Ubuntu on it, which is my backup if windows doesn't work.

I think the install screens are the same for 8 and 10, just install it and it will be windows 10.

Wasn't sure. Even the copyright showed 2013. Does sound incredibly stupid and misleading if they use the same install screen.

 

I think I got it working, I changed something in motherboard bios and now it changed, no longer says Windows 8, and the copyright says 2015 now.

Cancel that, it failed, and keeps giving bug errors if I try using windows to repair it.

 

Most likely scenario, my SSD is dead / near dead. Had it since late 2014, served me most well. Noticed for the past while certain things seem to install really slow on it, considering it is an SSD. Windows updates installs would be slow, which I attributed it to just windows being slow.
