Optical vs Laser Mouse

Go to solution Solved by caleblovespizza,

Go with the optical version. They track better, have adjustable DPI, and don't have any janky acceleration issues. Plus it would be the most similar to what you had in the g502.

Currently I have a Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum, but it's shape and size does not fit my hand or grip properly. I'm looking to get a Roccat XTD mouse (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009DYOPK0/?tag=pcpapi-20&th=1), but I don't know if I should buy the Laser or Optical Version. My current dpi is 1200 and I use a hard-top mouse pad. The optical is $15 cheaper than the laser version for the Roccat Mouse.
