Decent monitor for gaming under 250

Go to solution Solved by Damascus,

I personally wouldn't get it, 1080p and 28" will be a bit fuzzy.  I'll have some recommendations in a moment, what is your GPU?

Hey guys, i'm looking to get a new monitor around the 250 price point max. I wanna connect a ps4 to it and also be able to do some pc gaming. I just received an email with a deal on the 28" BenQ GC2870H, it's 199 from 240. Can anyone help me out and tell me if this would be a good choice?

Thanks!

If I were you I'd up my budet to few extra bucks, and get the BENQ XL2411Z 144HZ 24" monitor. You can get it for $289 on Newegg. Might be someone selling them for cheaper, so just look around :)

My secondary monitor on this computer is a 27" 1080p display, and that's about as far as you can stretch it. 1080p is best on a 21-24" screen. Or a massive TV you sit really far away from.

Yup. Though it's expensive for big ones, so I may be stuck with a normal 25-27" 1440p monitor for a bit. I'll see what's available when I go to buy my monitor though. Maybe they'll bring out cheaper ones that aren't 25" ones or something.

My next upgrade in screen will either be a 29" 1080 UW or an entry level 1440 34" UW depending on whether I can get one cheap and how fat my wallet is

My wallet was incredibly fat.... till I spent all the cash in it on a new 980 Ti. Now I've just gotta get a Ryzen 5 1600, RAM, mobo, PSU, and a screen, and I should be good to go.
