ASRock X99 Extreme3 Engineering Sample Compatibility

I have got myself a ASRock X99 Extreme3 motherboard and was looking online for a cheap cpu and came across xeon engineering samples, I read online that not all motherboards support them, but couldn't find any info about my mobo.

i was wondering if anyone knew if the Xeon E5 2609 V3 ES would work with my mobo.

i wouldnt get an ES. They don't reach the right clockspeeds, tend to not work properly and might even be unstable (?).

Why not get a used 5820k? Or if you (for some reason?) can't afford that better sell the board and get an 1151.

I can't afford a 5820k right now and I want to get into the x99 platform with this mobo, so I think a ES is ok for me at the moment
