NBN Fibre is coming soon to my house, maybe... For me it's really the ping and the upload speed that kills. That and the fact that it is the fastest service I can get!

Interesting that the two servers closest to me are slower than this one, the closest the slowest.

BTW... this is the speed I get all day everyday, in my 8 years with them, I have only been down for maybe 5 days combined!

I didnt upgrade my connection but i was using the older modem/router setup that Virgin had given me. I changed to their new Super Hub and my speed pretty much doubled

NIC in modems/routers can hinder a connection.

Even if they are advertised as Gigabit, they may not perform that way. That's likely the problem here.

For my pertinent links to guides, reviews, and anything similar, go here, and look under the spoiler labeled such. A brief history of Unix and it's relation to OS X by Builder.

I'm on Bigpond Elite Liberty coaxial in Australia

The funny thing is I would not be getting speeds if other people had cable in my street it would probably be like 16mbps down/1mbps up

Imagine how that sounds to people who didn't know you were referring to an ISP.

It's decent. I'm on an old package though, the new packages offer 100 Mb/s as base, altough I never really max out my bandwidth anyway.
