Upgrade GPU or CPU?

So basically i have a little dilemma. I currently have a gtx 1060 and a P9X79 PRO motherboard with 16 gb ram and a E5 1620 v2 cpu.

I was thinking of either selling the Gtx 1060 6gb and getting a gtx 1080 or selling the motherboard/ram/cpu as a combo and get a I7 7700K, motherboard and ram.

What would be the best desicion in my case? is it worth the upgrade to Cpu? or just get a 1080?

Personally the CPU, mainly because I'd be able to run what I want on a 1060.

What resolution are you running?

At 1080p the 1080 will be bottlenecked quite a bit.

1080- they're as low as 400$ nowadays and you'll need it for 4k (unless you're going to upgrade next year in which i say keep your 1060 and buy the new gpu and 4k monitor at the same time)
