Can you find a .rar password without brute force?

Go to solution Solved by Oshino Shinobu,

Wouldn't be much of a password locked file if you could. Either find the password by going to the site you downloaded it from or brute force it.

EDIT: The double edged sword of security.

Hello guys,

I have a little situation here where I got a .rar file and have no clue what length the password might be: it may take years for all the passwords to be tried out. Is there really no other way of getting to the contents of said file? :(

Unfortunately, the only way to go about it would be brute forcing the password. But, there are some sites in which you can upload the rar file and they will brute force the password on their powerful computers and send it to you (I have no idea whether or not they are legit), but most of them are paid..

Try this one.
