Ryzen 1700 build

Hello. I am starting a new build and decided to go with ryzen 1700. I am build mainly for PC gaming, photo editing, PShoping and some random stuff besides gaming.

SO i have chosen some parts already and i would like to ask your opinion:

1. CPU: Ryzen 1700 (stock cooler)

2. Motherboard: Asus prime x370-pro

3. DRAM: Corsair Vengeance LED 2 x 8 GB DDR4 3200 Mhz

Further on i am planing to get:

1. AIO cooler or other air cooler just to maximize OC possibilities.

2. GPU: 1800 gtx (currently waiting for vega)

Main concern i have here, that i can't chose DRAM. Is it worth getting these (Corsair Vengeance LED 2 x 8 GB DDR4 3200 Mhz), because they still don't have official support, or should i get 2800/3000 Mhz Corsair Vengeance 2 x 8 gb kit?

Also i am living in Europe, Lithuania.

Thanks for feedback

You need to check the RAM compatibility from the mobo website.
Also, faster speeds doesn't effect performance by a significant amount. (Linus had made a video on it)

Unless you have a lot of money to spend, I would say 2666MHz is enough.

Desktop specs:

Asrock Challenger Pro OC Radeon RX 6700 XT Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (8Gx2) 3600MHz CL18 Kingston NV2 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

Montech Century 850W Gold Tecware Nexus Air (Black) ATX Mid Tower

It isn't supported. Only its "little brother" 3000mhz one is.

Problem is that here in EU RAM prices are all over the place. That exact CV LED 3200Mhz kits are cheaper than most 2400Mhz kits

I would just save the bucks and get the cheaper kit.
That's a pricey system! $$$

[GPU: MSI Twin Frozr GTX 970] [PSU: XFX Pro 850W] [Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo]

Still, they need to be compatible with mobo

Wouldn't they just down clock to the slow speeds?

I heard that the system will not boot IF unlucky? (correct me if I'm wrong)

Only thing I've read that it might not boot at higher clocks, but then again, ryzen might not boot with any RAM at higher clocks.

I just read a few articles of people using high clocked RAM, up to 3200, but they were using higher end boards.
With the ability to adjust memory profiles in the bios, you should be able to buy 3200mhz ram and down clock it to 2666 which is supported.
Then, if there happened to be an update that unlocked higher speeds for the board you'd then be able to benefit from its use.

Go with something 3000mhz or less for ram. 2666 is usually the sweet spot until higher speeds can be taken advantage of. Also, I'd recommend the Cryorig H7 for overclocking. Or the Be Quiet! DARK Rock 3 if you want something a bit more high end
