How do I overclock my LG 25UM58-P to 75hz?

Aero777

When I got my LG 25UM58-P, I thought it was at a steady 75hz out of the box. But I was wrong. So today, I tried overclocking to 75hz, and the display just squashed the 21:9 image into a 16:9 aspect ratio. Any tips?

some monitors may advertise over 60hz (but not 120/144)

but they can only do that at a lower res/some other fucked up thing to get that

if you're using NVidia, you can use the drivers to overclock

if you're using AMD, you are going to need to google it :P

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

They're supposed to be HDMI 2.0 ports so the ports shouldn't be a limiting factor.

What GPU do you have?

i have the big brother of your monitor (39inch) and i got it to 80hz, and for mine to get to 75hz out of the box you have to enable freesync
