Looking for a new mouse

ChiefRobb

I'm currently looking for a new mouse and want to get some input from the community because you guys usually know a little more than I do. So, I game quite a bit on my PC and am currently rocking my least favorite mouse I've owned, this: (mouse). Suggestions would be well appreciated.

From,

The Chief

P.S. I play a lot of Overwatch so lots of extra buttons would be awesome.

Looks awesome to me. I currently don't use a mouse pad on a dark wooden desk, so am I going to want one with a mouse like that?

7 inches (17.5 cm) and I palm my mouse. I think that my mouse weight is fine but it feels cheap and plastic.

I think the G502 is going to be a very good fit for you as far as build quality, hand size, and need for extra buttons goes. As for palm grip though, its shape is decent but not perfect; it ends up forcing you into more of a claw-palm hybrid, which can either be a pro or con depending on how you look at it.

I'd also take a look at the G403 (lighter and faster for FPS's, not as many buttons, better suited for your hand shape) and Roccat Kone XTD Optical (perfect for medium palm grips, slightly lighter but still on the hefty side, few more buttons).

I've always felt that the G502 went overboard on features and build quality at the expense of grip, and that their newer mice are a good correction to that. The Kone is a sidegrade to the G502 which I think is worth looking into if ergonomics are more important than buttons for you.

Depends what's most important to you.

G502: most buttons with a lovely scroll wheel, too heavy for some fps players, may not perfectly suit your grip but won't be uncomfortable. A safe, solid choice if you need buttons.

Kone: Different RGB (you may like the style more or less), best for medium palm grip, not exceptionally light but light enough for everyone, most people love the shape but some can't palm the mouse all the time. 2d scroll, otherwise just the standard side buttons.

G403: Lightest and easiest to move accurately, slightly cheaper, "safest" shape (although it's very good for hands your size and grip, virtually everyone will find it comfortable; Logitech did a very good job on making this), only two side buttons and standard scroll.

I'd personally go for the G403 because it's the "safest" choice, but if you need extra buttons, go for the G502. The Kone is a wildcard; you'll probably either love it or dislike it more than the other mice on this list because of its odd shape. If possible, see if you can demo some mice before buying; it's impossible to get an exact feel for any peripheral through descriptions alone.

Looks awesome to me. I currently don't use a mouse pad on a dark wooden desk, so am I going to want one with a mouse like that?

I have a 502 and I love it, it is the best mouse I have ever owned, and yes it's fine on a wood desk

I'm currently looking for a new mouse and want to get some input from the community because you guys usually know a little more than I do. So, I game quite a bit on my PC and am currently rocking my least favorite mouse I've owned, this: (mouse). Suggestions would be well appreciated.

P.S. I play a lot of Overwatch so lots of extra buttons would be awesome.

Try the Logitech G300s if you're on a budget
