GPU/Monitor upgrade 1440p

Hi,

I currently have a GTX 680 and a 23" 1080p normal kinda monitor and I want to upgrade

I plan on using the 23" one as a secondary monitor and use a 27" 1440p for gaming.

I'd like some advice on what kind of gpu I would need to run 1x1440p and 1x 1080p (1xgaming 1xseries/youtube/movie)

would a gtx 1060 6gb be enough? or 1070? what about amd options?

I'd also take suggestions for that kind of monitor, I live in europe so preferably something available on alternate.de or compareable european site.

Either the 480 8g or 1070. 480 has better DX12 than the 1060 and is cheaper. Get a monitor that is at least 27 inches and 1080p by a good brand.

If Europe has any Black Friday or Boxing Day type sale that would be a good time. I got my 1440p Asus 32 inch that over clocks to 73hz on Boxing Day for 300 Canadian dollar.

If you plan to play on 1440p at 60+ FPS then you should get the GTX 1070 or R9 Fury.

For 1440p, I'd recommend the 1070.

Honestly, the 1070 is the sweet spot GPU for 1440p.

I saw some recommendations for the 480 and some for 1070 but the price difference is astronomical, 1070 litereally x2 the price of a 480

480(€250):

1070(€494)

assuming it'll power  1x 1440p 60hz and 1x 1080p 60hz
