Lately I've been thinking to upgrade my rig.

I want to buy an extra 4GB stick of RAM and switch from Nvidia GeForce GT 730 (yes I know) to Radeon RX 460 2/4GB.

I just don't know if my CPU (Intel Pentium G3430) Is really going to be that good for gaming despite the new graphics card

(If the fps is going to be lower because of the processor and that stuff).

Thanks.

The RX 460 is not a good deal.  For the same price you could buy a used GTX 770 which will be much faster.

I just bought a 730 for 30$ and its a nice card. Though I have the GDDR5 version. My guess is that you had some horrible DDR3 version. For the Answer to the RX 460, It should be fine aside from some AAA games.

Retired Laptop (Gearsy MK2): Ryzen 5 2500U, Radeon Vega 8 Mobile, 12 GB 2400 Mhz DDR4, 256 GB NVME SSD, 15.6" 1080p IPS Touchscreen

yeah the rx460 will be a good upgrade along with that extra 4gb of ram, this is good if just playing competitive games like csgo, lol, rocket league, etc. if you plan on playing any other AAA games I would buy a 1050ti.
