get 25" 1440p, it's like waaay cheaper for same image quality.
Note: if you don't have a powerful GPU I wouldn't bother with 1440p, and 1440p on a 25" screen may lead to some scaling issues, especially on old games.

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.

Does your budget get a Korean 27" 1440 panel, I've a panel rebadged by kogan in Australia and it's been an amazing panel for under 300 aud. ips, with a samsung lcd panel in it.

Silent build - You know your pc is too loud when the deaf complain. Windows 98 gaming build, smells like beige

@Arjun_7506 depends on what monitor you had before.

@rattacko123 I am currently using a 27" 1080p and believe me, I do not see any pixels at all. Even on Microsoft Word.

Maybe that is because I've switched a 17"(1280x1024) VGA  with a 27" 1080 dport.

I have a 1440p 27" monitor and a 24" 1080p monitor is noticeably more pixelated than a 1440p monitor when you look side by side. If I just looked at it without comparing I probably wouldn't have noticed since the difference isn't all that much. I am used to 1440p and if I had a 27" 1080p the pixelation would be blatantly obvious.

That one you sent me is really expensive. You said your budget doesn't allow 27" 1440p??
https://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-VX2778-SMHD-Frameless-Monitor-DisplayPort/dp/B01GV9H6BE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1489399116&sr=8-1&keywords=27"+1440p

Or is shipping an issue? In that case just stick with a 24" 1440p monitor. Heck since you have a 980 ti you may even consider getting a 4k 24"

 https://www.amazon.com/LG-24UD58-B-24-Inch-Monitor-FreeSync/dp/B01LPNKFK0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1489399201&sr=8-1&keywords=4k+24"
Note: that is a freesync monitor, so I guess if you really want g-sync then that dell monitor is a decent choice.

Thanks, that ViewSonic does look pretty good for the price. Also, I had a small query, if I shipping an entire pc from USA to India (including monitor and case) what would be the rough approximation for the shipping cost through FedEx?(I know its a bit off topic, but I was curious)

No idea, but there are some other shipping providers that can estimate shipping costs based on package size and weight. Not sure if they have that in India tho.

I would make an inquiry with FedEx on their website, tell them the size of the shipment (in cm or inches) and weight (in kg or pounds), shipping to/from locations, and ask for an approximation of price. Besides from that idk how you can find cost, maybe ask in a different subforum?
