Does NZXT Kraken Cooler work with RYZEN?

Sencatsu

Not sure what Watercooler to buy now for the AMD Ryzen CPU. Not sure if NZXT Kraken x62 will work with an AMD Motherboard.

Any thoughts on similar AIOs if it doesn't work? Or wait for March 2nd Ryzen launch on new Motherboards?

Well its a new socket with a new mounting design, so unlikely

The AMD Crosshair mobo does have mounting holes for both AM4 and AM3 so the x62 will work on that board...

I think you can order a mount for the kraken, not 100% sure.

It should work. EKWB said today that their water blocks are compatibile with Ryzen motherboards.

So same should go for air coolers that were usable on current AMD/Intel boards.

They probably phrased that a bit unfortunately then, because there are differences in the mounting hole location. I happen to know that Noctua and Phanteks send free AM4 mounting brackets to existing customers, but I can't speak for other manufacturers, nor can I confirm that either of those will ship AM4 brackets by default with newly bought coolers, though I would very much suspect so...

yeah maybe asus says that but they don't send an AM3 backplate with this motherboard, and you can't find an AM3 backplate in the box of Kraken x62 also. So, is CH6 really compatible with AM3?
