I know they're aiming for networking appliances and equipment, but I want to know if one can get a bunch of these and create a Ghetto-rig Knight's Landing type of deal. Exactly the kind of thing Linus would try on LTT coincidentally.

Intel has been doing these high core count atoms for a while, the last generation was up to 8 cores so a big increase but still not earth shattering for the average consumer. More for cloud storage or poor IT departments Xeon.

They are gimped on the wide SIMD compared to KL, and doesn't have the same scaling with cores. It probably would yield bad results.
