Is My GPU Dead?

ZombieGuy

So I was playing some overwatch with my mates, when out of nowhere both my monitors go black and I could no longer hear anything through my headset however my caps lock key still worked, my hard drive LEDs were still blinking like normal, and I could still hear my fans spinning like normal. I waited for about 5mins and nothing changed. so I rebooted with no display at all (still just black screens), It is only when I plug in my monitors to my mobo (even with my GPU still installed) that my displays work by running off of integrated graphics. I had a look at the reliability monitor which showed nothing bad had happened, and I ran memory checks with no errors. So did my GPU just die without any warning, any sound, and no bluescreen? Also my temps while playing overwatch were maxing out at about 70 to 80 degrees (I had an overlay on at the time). I always thought that when a GPU died the system would crash, and not boot up until the card had been removed. I "had" :( a GTX 1080.

Haha, you made me pause for a second, I wondered how the hell you knew I ever had one, also forgot to update my specs. Yeah I still have my 770, but its still back at home, while im away at uni, so not really an option just now. :(
