i5 7600k + DDR3?

I know the 7600k supports ddr4 but I have $300 and needing to replace my motherboard and CPU. This is just about short (I'm willing to give or take a like 30 to make this work) for a 7600k and a LGA 1151 motherboard. I noticed that some are in DDR3. Does that mean that the 7600k will work with DDR3? Or will there be compatibility issues? I want a 7600k but I don't want to upgrade to ddr4. If no, will it work with a 6600k? If none of this works, I'll go with a 4690k.

It's not that I don't want it but it is the budget I am on. I need my PC to work and I can afford the motherboard and the CPU, just not the ram.

You have a cooler already right? K series don't come with one.

There are no 1151 motherboards or cpus that support DDR3. Only DDR4 and DDR3L, which are different.

Nevermind I'm wrong there are now, but it looks like the ones that exist don't support kaby lake.

Take a look at this. The mobo supports DDR3 and it's not that much over your budget. the 6600k isn't that much different that the 7600k .

I also really hope you have a CPU cooler.

So the thing is that the ddr3 that works with 1151 is ddr3L.  The only difference between ddr3 and ddr3L that I know of is the ability to run at lower voltage.  Physically they are the same.  ddr3L runs at 1.35v by default vs ddr3 running at 1.5.  If you ran your ram 24/7 at 1.5v it could cause damage to the cpu because the 1151 uses an internal memory controller.  Now if for some reason your ddr3 will run at lower voltage without trouble then there is no reason you couldnt put it in your new system without any trouble.  You would just have to go into the bios and manually set the voltage of the memory to 1.35.

Will that affect speeds of anything?

I have an AMD FX 6300. But the motherboard is dead so I decided now's a good time to replace it. I live in the USA.
