LBATS X8 Gaming Mouse

Justin_

Hey guys I did a video review, but a written review is required so here we go!

So I got the LBATS X8 gaming mouse when I was contacted to do a review, but this is an unbiased review as I would rather up my channel then give false reviews for a free mouse.

LBATS aka Lightning Bats is a fairly new company, from what I can find with their amazon history they first started selling in November 2016 at a very affordable price point, the X8 is only $21.99 USD on Amazon. The overall build quality of the mouse is very good with a mostly aluminium construction that makes it feel very solid. In addition to the left, right, and scroll wheel buttons it has three more buttons on the left hand side for your thumb that by default are backwards (in a web browser), triple left click, and forward (also in a web browser) but can be reprogrammed to control your volume, be single key presses, or be full macro buttons. There is also one button on the bottom of the mouse that will allow you to switch between 5 different button map sets. The sensor itself is very good at tracking, I like to use my mice with my laptop for on the go gaming so I have been able to try it out on lots of surfaces and have only ever had 1 surface (a placemat) that it would not track on, and when it does track it has no issues whatsoever so I will give it a 9 out of 10. So as the branding may imply this is a lit RGB mouse, but is not true RGB. In the software you are able to set the LEDs to any of the 32 pre picked colours, limited from the normal 16.3 million colors, but still a very good selection in my opinion. One issue that I did notice about the software is that even though there is a button to disable the light breathing effect it does nothing. If it is selected or not the light will continue to breath. Also the red light from the sensor does shine through to where the LEDs light the mouse, it is not that bright so if you could disable the breathing it wouldn't really be noticed but because you are (currently) unable to do that the red light is obvious whenever it is on the dark end of the breathing.

Overall I would say that it does have a few flaws, but is still a very good mouse for the price, and a very good mouse for a first run from a company and I would like to see what is next from them.

I think it sits on the edge, but is on the ok side. What do you think @nicklmg? I don't want to cause any trouble, just add more reviews and I just did this one so I thought that I would post it here.
