wants to build a super budget gaming rig and he wanted to know if he should go for an I3 6100, I3 6300 or an i3 6320 with an  RX 460 or 470?

 

- I3 6100 / 6300 / 6320

- RX 460 2GB / 460 4GB / 470

how soon does this have to be built?

If he can hold out for the new Pentium G4560, you'd have much more money in the budget for a GPU.

Not too soon as he has his XBO but he wants to give it a rest and I said I will take to the forums to see if i can find any extra help there.

It was just a rough estimate. You can see I put a 480 and i5 in there. And all under 700 GPB

A 1060 3gb is worse than my previously mentioned 480 8gb but it is good and in some case a 470 can outperform it

No price on motherboard and case. It will but only in CPU intensive games

IF he has a chance to change that to a i5 6600 (k or otherwise) i would.
