Please Help

I am building a new computer. I don't have all the parts yet but I do have my Hard Drive I was wondering can I take that hard drive and plug it into the PC I have now and install things like Discord Skype some games and then take it out and use it for my PC when I get the rest of the parts?

Yes, you can do that, but you may have to assign a letter to it in disk manager or create a new partition.

If it'll not be your main drive technically yes, but it'll give you more headaches than save time.

Just install your programs when you have your new PC.

If thats the drive you want windows on it will be formatted losing all the files on it when windows is installed.
