3 4ks will be a tough push even with 2 1080's. Doable, yes.. but might have some stutter and low FPS at times.

Dual 1070s is what I would suggest for a single 4k to be honest. Im sure you could run it but Id think you would need to turn the settings down to medium/high to get smooth frames

Currently running single 4k with 1 1070 setting high already smooth.

I'd see if he is willing to either sell the 1070 for a single 1080 and hold out until Vega/1080Ti releases or hold out with that single 1070 until Vega/1080Ti releases. I think it would be the most cost effective and best performing once they release.

Easily, you'll just have to play at relatively low settings for three.

@o0odellero0o that's very believable. The game ran very smoothly at 4K on two 970s, a 1070 is roughly the same as that. People have a massive stick up their arse when it comes to 4K even though 4K gaming has been pretty easy since 2013.

You could, with shit fps but that depends on what you're used too.

Id be more worried about the CPU.

lmao 1,492,992,000 pixels per second, but sure the CPU is going to be the bottleneck hahaha You could have gone with vram and that would have been sensible, but CPU?

Yea, graphics can only go so low, the CPU will still be hating life. Either way it's a dumb idea.

The CPU is not a concern. Like at all. 1070/1080 SLI is ridiculously powerful though. I would be amazed if the GPUs themselves were not capable of at least playable framerates in GTA 5. No, if there is any reason you cannot, it's definitely going to be that 8GB vram limitation.
