Smart Card Compatibility?

Hey guys, I have a Dell XFR notebook computer (The E6420 XFR) and I know it has both a smart card reader and a contactless smart card reader. My dilemma is what kind of smart cards are compatible? I see for both contactless and contact smart cards there seem to have different type of cards. For example for the contact reader when I looked up for smart cards on Amazon I found that there seams to be SLE4428 (https://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-White-Memory-Smart-SLE4428/dp/B012LXLLFG/ref=sr_1_18?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1484140253&sr=1-18&keywords=smartcard) and SLE4422 (https://www.amazon.com/YARONG-10-white-blank-Smart-contact/dp/B015CDJ2Y4/ref=sr_1_2?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1484140253&sr=1-2&keywords=smartcard) And I have no clue which card will work with my reader.

Short read from different sources and what I generally know about smart cards (my ID is like that but I have no way to use it atm). The "SLE****" is model of product. Rest of the stuff relate on how much data it can store, how its stored and how you can store it. I'd say you can read any card if you have supporting software or service.

Contact cards should all be based on ISO 7816 and if they are will be compatible. If they're the wrong physical size you may need to resize them but again they should be standard.

Contactless cards have a ton of different protocols (MIFARE, EMV, and NFC are the most common 3) but all of them are implemented over 14443 in hardware, and are interpreted in software. Again they should all be compatible but if you use MIFARE or EMV you'll likely need a software solution that can work with them.
