This is that Connex thing, right? This isn't exactly for beginners. The Connex HD system costs more than my whole aircraft (it's about $500, not including an HD goggle solution). Still cool though, but an IRC Vortex 250 or TBS Vendetta would probably be better. Especially for beginners.  Maybe for something like DRL, this would be a cool solution to get an HD downlink and give racers an equal platform.

No racer will use the safety features/guidance the photo guys will use, and it appears there's no HD recording device onboard.

so what demographic were they trying to hit with this?

Will work for electronic components and parts
