BUDGET MONITOR FOR GTX 1060

Hey guys, I need your suggestions. Which monitor should I buy for a GTX 1060 card? What refresh rate is best? 1080p resolution.

1080p60 for normal gaming

1080p144 for FPS (Overwatch lower settings, CSGO)

 

Pick lower refresh rates and IPS panels over anything else

What if I use a 1080p 60hz monitor for FPS? What would happen? Will the framerate be limited by the 60hz monitor?

I can understand IPS if it's around the same price point, but high refresh rates are freaking awesome too imo

The framerate will be capped to 60 FPS by the 60hz monitor, but that's it

Action appears smoother on 144hz monitors, that's the only difference really

I see. I might get a 144hz monitor, hehe. So are there any 144hz monitors that aren't that much expensive?

They start at around 199 usd, you're best off getting the asus 3d one for around 260, its one of the best 144hz monitor
