Galaxy Tab 4 or Kindle Fire HD8?

Hi everyone!
I was looking to buy a tablet for a friend of mine, as he has a lot of down time during work. He likes to watch a lot of anime so I wanted to help him out.

I was looking to get the new Kindle Fire HD8 that just came out as seeing he'd only watch stuff or check facebook I thought it would be perfect.

But then I also came across the Tab 4, which is a lot older but looks like is much more powerful and it has the play store. What do you guys think? Any recommendations are appreciated!

If he is an Amazon prime member then the kindle would be great. I have the HDX 7 and love it. I can download prime movies and tv shows to the device for offline viewing. Not sure if you can do that with non Amazon tablets. So yeah that's one thing to think about

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3
