Windows 10 Installation Fail

agent6d9

I recently formatted my 1TB HDD as its gone to shit and transferred what I wanted from the HDD to my .5TB SSD. Now it's saying "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style." WTF does this mean and it says this for both the HDD and SSD.

Yes I tried to install Linux a week ago as Windows is just pissing me off. I've finally figure out how to reinstall windows following the guidelines above and a few different youtube videos as I kept getting different errors. I have no idea how to use linux either lol

This all started a month ago though with my HDD becoming corrupted and nothing I did could fix it besides formatting it.

Thanks I used this video and a few others as I kept getting new error messages. I really need to remember this in case it happens again.

Linux converts your storage device (sdd or hdd) into a different file type. In my experience the only way I could fix it was boot from a live ubuntu-usb and open gparted to convert my storage device into ntfs format. Then format it using windows install media.
