7850k doesn't work properly.... Help ?

A friend got the 7850k an the sniper a88x from gigabyte.

The problem is that as soon as i start the pc core 0 and 1 run at whatever the frequency i tell them to run, core 2 and 3 run at 1.6 ghz whatever the load on the cpu is as this screenshot demonstrate

shitty cpu.PNG

I can get around that moving up and down the voltage slider on AMD Overdrive and apply the setting (which is the same as before), but as soon as the cpu is on 100% load the cores start to lower their frequency and voltages on their own and i get worst game performance than stock clock.

more doomed than before.PNG

If i clear cmos the system runs fine, i don't have core 2 and 3 at 1.6ghz but as soon as i touch the frequency, multiplayer or voltage settings it starts doing that...

Help ?

Go into UEFI and disable Turbo boost!

Already did that

I disabled even Cool and Quiet and C6 stage

Personally, i think the AMD Overdrive stuff is nonsense, go into UEFI and do all the APU overclocking from there.

Already tried that, if i change the voltage on the bios as the pc restart it goes to stock voltage and obviusly bsod because of not enough current on the cpu

and before you ask yes i saved the settings before exiting the bios

Is the CMOS battery dead?

Don't think so because all the other setting stay but voltage doesn't

Are you sure you save the bios settings? Try just a simple F10!

Fixed: apparently fresh windows 10 pro + enabling cool & quiet and disabling c6 steps did the job now i'm 4.4 ghz stable
