Are they quieter than your stock fans? And what pc case do you have?

Uh Coolermaster haf 912 Plus and I dont know because both them and the case fans are quieter than the stock CPU cooler at idle, which is by far always the loudest thing in my system maybe bar the GPU, so to sum up YES but I dont know by how much

All my case fans are coolermaster with the exclusion of the corsair ones I linked

moved to air cooling

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Why do you need fans for AIO? It comes with two and if I remember right, those are the fans with colored rings. AIO by itself is enough as exhaust. Case comes with 3x140mm fans, also those with color rings. Two of them as intake (you don't need 3rd) are enough.

They're not the same fans. The QE's with the colored rings are better than the stock fans.

NB-eLoops are great: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/NN8Zxr/noiseblocker-case-fan-nbeloopb122

Personally I have had really good luck with the Corsair SP120's.  I dont really care about the noise levels so I am probably not the best person to ask about that.

SP120 LED's are easily worse than SP120 QE's are aren't just the same fan with a different aesthetic.

In what way are they worse? With volume or with performance?

Noise and performance are relative. Performing better doesn't mean much when the better performer is also much louder. The quality of a fan is often determined by how well the performance compares to the noise.

When matching performance, the LED counterparts are louder. The non-LED fans has rubber anti-vibrational corners, a similar but higher quality frame, and hydraulic bearings as opposed to the rifle bearings in the LED fans.
