MSI Mpower Z77 questions

Hello.

I recently finished my PC, and I'm now left with two questions about the motherboard.

1. How do you / Is it possible to install a new BIOS on a corrupted BIOS chip? I "broke" it when I was trying to disable the on board "HD audio", because click bios II crashed while saving...

2. My CPU phase LEDs ( http://tinyurl.com/MpowerLED ), the ones that tell you how much power the CPU is using. My LEDs are either all active or there are less then three active, which is really annoying because when they are changing rapidly it makes them flash a lot...

(Other components in the build: 3770k, H100i, 32gb Avexir Mpower edition ram, MSI GTX 680 Lightning, Corsair AX 760i, Samsung 840 PRO 256gb, Xonar dgx audio card)

...

Can't you just reflash the BIOS to the board? Install the BIOS off the manufactures website to a USB stick and boot it?

I actually just had this problem with this board a couple of days ago lol. I bricked my bios A and had to switch to bios B I ended up fixing Bios A but it was a pain

ok

Step 1 Sighn up for an account here http://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?PH...ction=register,

note: if you do not sign up you can not download the utilities and bios to fix the bricked Bios

Step 2 After signing up on the MSi fourms, Click on this link http://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=116721.0 and download (MSI Forum HQ USB Flashing Tool)

Step 3 click on this link http://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?to...103#msg1216103 and download this rar beta Bios E7751IMSvH47.rar

Note I attempted to flash my Mpower bios several times and this was the only way it worked for me

Read the guid in step 2 to flash the bios and do this when flashing and it should work

Now that many motherboards are coming out with a back up bios, many people are asking about how to flash the failed bios. (BIOS A or B)

All you need to do is download the bios you want to flash, then using a fat32 formated usb stick, run the forum bios flashing tool.

>>Use the MSI HQ Forum USB flasher<<

Do not begin this process unless your computer is 100% stable! Many bios failures are due to faulty ram etc, if you corrupt your "good" bios the board is dead!

1.) Remove any overclock you have.

2.) Boot using the working bios, with the memory stick inserted into the usb port.

3.) As soon as the flashing tool screen comes up and you need to input, reach down and switch to the nonworking bios. (DO NOT SWITCH FROM BIOS A TO B UNTIL THE FLASHING TOOL HAS LOADED)

4.) Proceed with FLASH.

I really hope that I made since on how to fix it but if you still have any problems or quistions PM me and I will help you with anything you don't understand
