I would say either 8, or 16GB. Start off with 8GB, and if you notice that it's not enough, then go for 16GB.

Though, if you're more of a normal user. Then 8GB should still be enough.

3200+

Speed doesn't matter too much. I recommend 3200-3600MHz anything above that the latency of the RAM will make it not as fast

Speed is less of an issue these days than people make of it.

Doesn't matter much. If you are getting a B150/H110/H170 board basically all RAM runs at 2133, if you have a Z170 board you can have higher speeds, they do help sometimes but not much, basically get higher speeds that aren't pricey when your board support.

My setup has 8GB of 1600 mhz. That was the standard like 4 years ago. If all you do is game than I see no reason to go above 2400 mhz.

8GB 1600Mhz DDR3 is sufficient. Probably the most reliable too. 16GB if you want to brag or video edit.

I've edited dozens of videos using only 8GB of ram. Buy a 8GB stick and later on you can add another if you want

I was going to get a 8gb kit, but at microcenter they had a 16gb kit of ddr4 2400mhz for $42.  I'm a big multitasker, and I routinely use 8-10 gigabytes just in chrome tabs and background programs.  I've never needed the full 16 though.  Just some food for thought.
