New 1080 SLI Bridge

TundraBF109

Anyone here in Linus land know the deal on these?  I've read that they have higher capacity/throughput/whatever the eff/etc than the standard bridges, yet I haven't seen them anyone for sale here in Canada, not at NCIX or MemExpress - no can find!  I've bought 2 of the 1080 cards, and will be buying 2 more for another system once the new coolers/ACX3/etc come out in a couple weeks.  So, I need at least 2 bridges.  I THINK the standard ones will work for now, but I absolutely want the new ones shown at the recent show, due to not only looks, but their apparent "better" performance - if that's even correct/true.

So, anyone?  Bueller?  Bueller...

So I can't prove this one way or another, but I would be willing to bet right now, the "special sauce" is merely that they use both headers, therefore if you just buy some of the three-way old bridges you should get the exact same results...

But the new bridges should be available for sale within the next few days.

Ok thanks. Further reading right now shows graphs/etc on nVidia's site that the standard bridge will not be so great for 60hz+ SLI, (I'm using both 27" ROG Swifts and a 34" Rog Swift, 144, 165, and 100hz), but the LED ones that are available now should be "ok" for now.  So, if the new bridges are a no show, I'll just pick up one or two of the LED ones.  For now.

I'm willing to bet the "standard bridges" are the supposed single finger two-way ones. Again, the 3-way bridges that use both fingers should be identical to the new ones that also use both fingers.

(Nvidia hilariously claims exactly 2x the bandwidth...)
