Replacement for classifieds

Why not have a subforum?

It will mean it is easier to make classifieds posts and they will get more attention because when you post they will show up in recent topics.

Also werent topics supposed to be auto followed?

Payments would probably be an issue to implement into a normal topic I would imagine.

I think it should be kept separate from the the forums, and it needs to be clear who bought it and when it is sold, which forum posts can't do. 

 

You can set to auto-follow your topics in your notification settings.

Unless it has been changed, auto follow (your own) posts was disabled by default for me, I had to enable it.

It's possible it's only enabled for users who just created an account. A lot of options were simply carried over, and with users having pre-defined options, they may not have been touched.
