Question about multiple Office 365 users

If I were to sign up for Office 365, it can be used with 5 devices.

Could I use it on my PC, and give my friend a copy as well to use on his PC?

In theory this would work, and I don't see why it wouldn't, but I just want to make sure.

Doesn't work that way.

 

You could technically download a perpetual license for office 2013/16, but normally you want to just use the click to run installer and use your email to activate.

 

You could eaisly setup outlook to use different email addresses ect, but you will need to activate with the actually licences user.

AFAIK the required "Microsoft account" is simply an Outlook email address.

I already have Office 2016. It doesn't have what I need.

Not at all, it can be but is not required to be.

You setup a login to office 365, redeem the office key (unless you did this digitally). then using the account that you made to login to office 365. You will need to give that username (it will be an email, doesn't have to be a Microsoft/outlook email) and password to you friend, as with all click to run installs/activations they need to re-arm every 30 days (normally you wont need to enter your email+password, but if you fail to re-arm before the activation window expires, you need to re-sign in with your o365 account).
