but I've just bought these to replace them (gonna move the denon and the tannoys over to near my tv)

I know someone else in the thread mentioned they don't have bass drops, well that would be expected for speakers with no sub. . . lol

Everything. But when I like to purely listen to music, I use Sennheiser HD 800s. They feel as if they were made for my head...soo comfy

For my HT I have a trusty old Marantz SR7100 + PSB speaker combo

For my home listening pleasure, I have a Senn HD555

54-169_02.jpg

For my PC, I have a 5.1 and 2.1 setup, main and 3rd rigs share a Logitech Z-5500, I can't believe I still have a pic of the Z-5500 in a box when I'd first gotten it years back.

Headset is an old Razer HP1

razer_barracuda_hp_1_1.jpg

I sometimes use a recently acquired Razer Blackshark, when I want extra 'oomph' for the bass. I had gotten the HP1 at launch, while this Blackshark was gotten to compare against a review here, and it was a used set at half its retail price. I'd never have considered a full priced Blackshark, outstanding bass and that's about it. Awful for listening to music.....

For my 2nd rig, I have a Klipsch PM 2.1 which I love as much as my Z-5500 for the furniture rattling bass.....awesome for gaming and movies, both of them!

How do you like those Pioneers compared to the Audiotechnicas?

They're quite a bit nicer. I mostly listen to Electronic music so they both do quite well; but the Pioneers are just so much cleaner, even coming out of a phone. The improved comfort is another big reason why I bought them. The memory foam feels amazing and your ears don't get hot and sweaty like they do on the M50s (although if you have pretty large ears or ears that stick out a bit more then normal it can get a bit uncomfortable because the cups are quite shallow and they hit against the hard speaker, which is the situation I'm in at the moment). I also have heard nothing but amazing things about the HD25 IIs, but I really did not like the way the looked so I went with the much better looking (in my opinion) HDJ-2000s.

Recently I've been considering the HDJ-1500's because I've heard of build quality issues with the 2000's, but every time I check out the 2000's I jizz in my pants a little.

I'm pretty sure almost all of the build quality issues are due to fake HDJ-2000s, and sadly quite a few seem to be floating around /: I spent a good 45 minutes to an hour making sure mine were genuine. They definitely feel sturdier than the M50s.
