yea idk what to do to it!! I have a 200mm fan i know i have 1 or two 140/120mm fans but i def know i have one of each.

Was thinking of ghetto modding the 200mm to the top.

Hmm, perhaps find a way of adding a drive cage to it with vibration dampening? (Unless the stock one has vibration dampening already)

Not really a mod, but a great way to showcase two SSDs while also using a harddrive:

Take two clear rubber pieces from a drive sled and two thumb-screws; place the rubber pieces on the inside and screw through them into the harddrive.

Nice, i might make a nice flat shroud to hide the cheeky HDD's.

Not a bad idea at all! :P

My only concern is having the HDD only held on by one side :/

It's very sturdy with two screws.

On another note, I found this thread:

http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=121577

Just scrolling through those pictures of the modded air 540, I came at least 58.2 times! /s :P

This got me thinkin... How about a custom mid plate for it? or at least a mid plate that doesn't require anything else? I'd love that so I can get a clean look in the bottom of the air 540.

I've also used a piece of cardboard which I sharpied black and stuck under the gaping holes beneath the drive mounts:

LEDs are too bright, can't really see it :P

I might take a thin sheet of wood and cut it down then paint it black or something and lay it across the bottom. (Maybe add some foam or something below it if it is unstable, or hot glue it into place and sharpie the hot glue lol

That's good! It's supposed to blend in. :P

I used clear packing tape underneath.

Or even better, run some black electrical tape around the edges where it connects with the case, then it will be very clean looking! :P

So many options on what to buy next...

- Air 540 to replace my 230t

- Audio Technica AT2020(maybe usb version) to replace my turtle beach z11 headset

- more monitors

- new keyboard to replace shitty dell stock keyboard

- h110i gt to replace stock intel heatsink

So many things... so much money...

I suppose, but none of it is visible anyway as it's on the underside of the case.

I was talking about putting it in the case over the drive mounting spots lol

putting it under the case is just too easy, and it doesn't give the same clean look..

Sure, you can remove the drive sleds entirely and put a sheet of plastic or metal, then mount the drives on said sheet without the sleds--however, this is an extremely inexpensive/simple way to cover the holes.

I don't mind the aesthetics of the drive sleds; I just wanted those damn holes covered. :P

But I'm not sure if it needs the mobo tray cover to fit correctly :/

I didn't really mod anything, I just crammed as many fans in it as i could. I would love to replace the side panel window with tempered glass.

Yes, i still must buy some paint. I don't mind if the paint will ware away after a few months, because if i sell it it'll be black again.

I honestly dont think that the paint will start wearing away, unless there is friction on the grills over time, but how often are the grills going to be touched/rubbed off? I feel that the grills are receded enough that they will protect the grills from accidental nudgings
