DVI-I to HDMI Adapter?

Hey guys, so I have a DVI-I to HDMI Adpater which you can see below. What I want to know about it is can I plug the DVI-I end into a R7 260X and have an HDMI cord going to a TV? The HDMI port is being used for the TV/Monitor which doesn't have a DVI port. Just wondering if it will work before I go and buy an HDMI cord for nothing.

It will work perfectly, however keep in mind using this adapter will mean you will NOT get audio over HDMI. If you want to use your TV's speakers with your PC you'll have to get a separate audio cord. But 260X has an HDMI port on it. You don't need an adapter.
