Slow Boot From x99 Board

jasonpng123

Hi ! Did anybody over here encountered slow boot from x99 board? I recently had an Intel Core i7 5820k With Asus Rampage V Extreme X99 Motherboard using Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD but my boot time was 40 seconds ! How people managed to get less than 10 seconds with SSD?

check if the SSD is the first boot device

Reset the BIOS.

Disable Network PXE boot, Change SSD as first boot priority. Enable the fastboot if disabled.

Booting from Network. Make sure it is disabled to get faster boot.

Go to Advanced settings from EZ mode--> Advanced--> Onboard devices configuration--->LAN Boot Rom--> Disabled.

If still you can't get fast boot, just make a clean installation of Windows!

If anything that any one said doesn't work you may want to clear cmos and if you really want to make sure everything is done perfectly and to want to take it all apart and put it back togeather again including a re install of windows. and when it boots do some sort of validation on the drive along with everything else in the system

Hi there. Move along, n0thing to see here.

Sure it may be.

But before that try ADWCLEANER, then disable the unnecessary services by Thirparty softwares. Disable startup programs. It may be slowing down your boot time.
