Need help finding an CPU cooler

JonU

I'm currently working on a parts list for an ITX build using the Corsair 380T case. According to the Corsair site, the max CPU cooler height is 150mm. So far all the coolers I've seen that I like are 160+, so if anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears. I know I could use an AIO liquid cooler, but I'm trying to see what kind of options I have for an Air Cooled setup. I plan on running the 4790k in there.

Ok, any other suggestions? Don't really have a price limit, just a height limit :) I've looked through the Noctua coolers and Coolermaster, but I have had trouble finding reviews on some coolers I've come across, so naturally I've stayed away from them. Unfortunately so far all the ones that I am interested are all to tall. I'll take a look at that one though. The pains of piecing together an ITX build...

I've also considered doing a liquid cooled setup, but prefer the DIY route and that is quite a bit more expensive and definitely much more weight than an air cooler.

Just get a H100i or some other AIO liquid cooler, in that small case air cooling isn't a good option.

Dont go liquid cooling, it really isnt that worth it over air coolers.

And you dont really want liquid leaking all over your thousand dollar parts

I had been looking at liquid cooling, but if I stick with my plan to build an ITX case, I'm not really planning on doing an extreme overclock. Imo at base clock speeds and even light overclocking, air cooling should be sufficient in most real world scenarios. Liquid cooling seems to pull ahead as your OC gets more extreme or you start using it to cool other components as well. I'm not so worried about leaks as that would be checked for prior to going into the case, but in this build it isn't something I'm looking at doing if it isn't needed.
