new monitor wont display

so i got a new display today cause iv been needing to upgrade to a 1080p monitor for a while now... i got a BenQ GL2450 but i cant get the damn thing to display on my desktop... its plugged in and is being detected by my graphics card but it just wont display anything.

im running a GTX 660

16gb RAM

AMD fx-6100 cpu.

i would like to keep both displays so i can have a multi monitor setup for work reasons.. but given that i cant get the benq to work i dont know what to do?

any1 know what the problem might be

display wasn't switched to the correct output cause i was pressing the wrong button lol
