Fake STM32 (CKS32) compatibility

RTX 3090

Hi, I got a CKS32 instead of an STM32, in the bluepill board. Will this work as normal. I am planning to use Arduino IDE and the ST-link adapter to upload code. Am waiting for ST-link to arrive so not sure if I should return and get a new, or if it will work normally

Looks like it's a clone, so presumably it's fully compatible.

Most likely they are very close to a full copy. If you bought the ST-link also through ebay or ali expect it to be fake.

In best case it is just a clone STM insidie. Worst case it is a diffrent sku (e.g. faulty USB part so it got disabled) where they enabled the USB part.

Does anyone know where I can buy bluepill board with a genuine CPU. I don't mind paying a bit extra, and want to use the USB-B instead of USB-c so blackpill is not an option. People are saying it is hard to buy genuine boards since the fakes have been released,  I kinda feel sorry for STmicroelectronics

Buy a generic. Buy the µC from a trusted vendor. Replace the µC.

ebay, aliexpress = Not trustworthy at all.

LCSC = Okay but wouldn't want to guarantee it is genuine as it is still China.

Digikey, Mouser, Farnell, ... = good sources

directly from STM =  best option

Other option is you send the Gerber files and so on to JLCPCB (LCSC) which do PCBA meaning you get the assambled board from them. Downside they don't understand ESD at all so risk of damage is there

Hi, jost got a genuine STM32F104 today, and I am using a fake ST-link V2, and am using the 009 driver, not no COM port is showing in the Arduino IDE.

I am going to return the bluepills and try to live with the blackpill for the time being until I source a replacement

Have you tried getting a Multicopter flightcontroller? I know they use real STM32 processors, maybe you can disable and flash them so you can do what youd like with them
