Rtx 2070 Super Ray Tracing

Will the RTX 2070 super constantly deliver at least 60 fps at 1080p with max settings and rtx on for future rtx based games?

Hey! Was looking to get your thoughts on how future proof the RTX 2070 SUPER will be for ray traced games specific to 1080p 60fps, as of right now, wondering about cyberpunk 2077. Control is one the most beautiful games I've played, and can run flawlessly on 1080p at 60fps with DLSS (only care about 60fps because I have a 60hz monitor.) What're your thoughts for cyberpunk 2077? And what about future rtx based games? Will the RTX 2070 super constantly deliver 60 fps at 1080p with max settings and rtx on? Would love to discuss.

Nothing is ever future-proof. Especially not a first gen consumer technology like ray tracing

It can bairly do that as of now, at least without dlss.

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

probably not. pure compute performance is on par with a 1080ti which would be enough for rasterized max settings but it doesnt handle rtx spectacularly. considering that the first cyberpunk demo was run on a 2080ti and was reportedly not stable at 60 fps despite using dlss 2.0 to upscale from 540p, it may be too demanding for anything less than the 2080ti even if they can optimize the game a lot between then and release. i got a great deal on a 2080 super yesterday but i dont think ill stick with it as i also would like to play CP2077 with fancy settings and i dont expect it to be enough. i'd be upscaling from 720p to 1440p though so maybe 540p render is feasible. we wont know until rtx benchmarks come out, all we know is that the recommended settings at 1080p for rasterization are very optimized and accessible

I'm a big fan of using what I LIKE graphically.

So.. RTX in combination with RTX is intensive..

Like Global luminance and Reflections...together or as singles.

You will have to pick n choose your priorirty RTX features u want to enable. Esp if DLSS isnt cuting it.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

is this thread a joke?

it's literally asking to predict the future

Its a discussion, you can turn it into a joke but you gotta be funny for that. :) To clarify even further, no literality going here, feel free to be more descriptive about why it's a joke other than the obvious of it being a comparatively less powerful card.
