Time and date settings incorrect for program

Dell Dorado

Hello.

I have been using a program called WSv3 to check weather radars around the United States. During the time i've had this program, I accidentally changed my time and date settings. I reverted them back to normal, but whenever i try to open WSv3, I get an error message saying "Failed to start program. Failed because your time and date settings are incorrect. Fix your date and time settings, and restart your computer and try again". I/ve tried everything, I have synced my clock countless time, I've used Windows Powershell to uninstall and install W32 time, and I have turned on the option to sync time automatically. I tried every solution you could think of online. I still do not know how to fix this problem, and is giving me a big headache. Could someone please give me a fix for this?

I would find where the program is installed and remove any remaining files (esp config files) before attempting reinstalling

Yeah, this definitely sounds like the program is keeping some sort of a record and gets confused because of the accidental time-traveling.

Do you know how to delete those records?

No, since I don't know the app and I don't know where it stores its stuff. You can try to uninstall it, then delete the entire folder it was installed in, if there are any leftover-files. Then see in %USERPROFILE%, %APPDATA% and %HOMEPATH% if there are any files that belong to it.

there should be a folder with the software name on it in Program Files or Program Files (x86) for most of them

uninstall it, then locate to folder and delete it

you'll have to google where the software store the config file

possible in the Users AppData folder like @WereCatf mentioned

thank you for your help anyway

it probably stored some file somewhere that you need to dig out and delete it then it'll work

but I have no idea where it would be.

does it necessarily have to have the word config in it?

mmm not necessarily

it could be named anything, but i dont recommend poking around C drive unless you're absolutely sure what you're doing

its normally a .config or .txt file
