Affordable 4K 144hz adaptive sync?

So right now I have a 180hz 1080p G-Sync monitor for fps games. I am becoming increasingly interested in moving to 4K in hopes of gaining more clarity on enemies that are small and far away. 
 

Are there any affordable 4K 144hz adaptive sync monitors on the market or any coming soon? Last I checked a while ago they were scarce and expensive. Thanks

144Hz seems kind of pointless at 4K, no? Even with a top end PC, you will probably struggle to get 144fps consistently in the vast majority of games.

Kind of pointless to put the word affordable, and not give a price. What's affordable to you is drastically different than what's affordable to someone else.

Unless he plans to get one of the new Nvidia GPUs, and there are loads of games that with slightly tweaked settings can run at pretty high frame rates.

At the very least, they run very close to 100fps, and with the next gen, easily up to 120fps.

Since monitors last multiple builds, it makes more sense to invest heavily, even if you can't max it out currently.

I disagree. Getting 144fps on games like Overwatch, CS:GO, and Fortnite at 4K isn’t too challenging for a high end system. 
 

Taking your thoughts into consideration though, I guess 1440p is the better option for what I’m looking for

To an extent yes. But I’m sure most would consider a $500-$2000 monitor expensive in contrast to more lightly priced lower end monitors that more people have. Even if you don’t know my budget you can still recommend good entry level monitors that meet the specs I was looking for

Yes, but wouldn't 240Hz be arguably more important for competitive games? Something like the Samsung G7, which is 1440p and 240Hz would be better than 4K/144Hz for esports titles IMO.

I would say 1440 at 144hz would be best. It's difficult to tell the difference between 144 and 240hz.

Up to you TBH, you can find pretty good 1440/144 monitors for less than $500.

Sure, but the difference is definitely noticeable and 240Hz is pretty important if you are trying to have every advantage you can in game. (Definitely more important than higher resolution)

I would say it objectively isn't very noticeable compared to the jump from 60hz to 144hz. There are people who say they cannot see a difference between 60hz and 144hz still even though it's really obvious.

I would say refresh rate is more important in most cases but I was specifically looking for a resolution bump for this reason. There can be advantages to having a high resolutions in games I play like Arma 3, Rust, DayZ, and Overwatch when enemies are at long distances

the most "affordable" 4k monitor that doesn't give up too much on colors is the XV273, though visually the 27GL850 looks better (just less pixels that u can barely tell), then it quickly gets into stuff like x27 (1200usd on sale) and pg43uq (VA to to cut cost)

 

personally i recommend the 27GL850 or the x27, if you want curved, just go with the samsung g7 or the LG34GN850 ( looking at this one for some1 else)

 

Recently i can no longer justify the larger VA panels.

 

I expect 4k/100fps on AAA games even on a 3090 or whatever they decide to call it (2080 ti gets 70fps on hitman and other games)

Oh, I thought because you mentioned CS, FN and OW that you mostly cared about those games and in those games I would argue that more Hz is far more important than higher res. (I mean most CS pros literally play like 1024x768 or something like that).

 

On this topic, I doubt you can find 4k/144Hz monitors that are affordable. 1440p/144Hz is quite affordable and detailed enough IMO.
